As I am typing this post, I am thinking about how fast this year has flown by. This year has been a challenging year for me and for my family, but God has been faithful. He has brought much change into our lives, and at the beginning of 2013 I never would have imagined that we would be living in High Point, NC. Psalm 37:23 says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.” God promises to direct us in the way we should go as we trust Him and follow His lead. I’m grateful that when we come to a crossroads, He gives us the direction we need. Our family is grateful that He has led us to Green Street, and we pray that 2014 will be a wonderful year of growth together as a faith family. On January 1, I’d like to invite you to journey with me through the Bible. I have included a Bible reading plan on this website (see thumbnail above) that I will be using in 2014. This plan is a chronological reading plan that has been put together by “Back to the Bible.” Each day, we will read three or four chapters together, and I hope to develop some devotional thoughts from day to day that will be recorded as posts on my blog. Imagine the growth that we can experience as we are in God’s Word together as a church family! I look forward to hearing stories from your life about how God will impact you from the daily readings. His Word is living! So, pick up a copy of your favorite translation, open it up, and let’s all dive in together.

“Father, in Jesus’ name, I pray that Your Word comes alive in the hearts of Your people. I pray that we not only be hearers and readers of Your Word, but may we also be doers of Your Word. Grow us up in the faith, and may we witness and share the gospel of of Your Son with others. Amen.”
