If you have your Bible, let me invite you to take it and turn with me to Romans 6.  We’re in a series that I have given the title, “Spiritual Habits.”  We are taking an in-depth look at the Christian life from start to finish.  When God saves a person, He changes their life.  He sets that person free from the bondage of sin.  He puts His Spirit within that person as well as certain ‘holy’ hungers.  The will of God for every Christian involves being conformed to the image of Christ.  The Bible calls this process ‘sanctification.’ Now, it has been my experience that a lot of Christians have a desire to live a holy life, but many have lived in defeat because of their struggle with some particular sin.  We are careful to avoid some gross sin, but we have given up on pursuing growth in our lives and have settled down to a life of moral mediocrity.  Identity crisis then ensues…
