The book of Acts is unique in the New Testament in that it is a history book that spans approximately three decades and records the early history of the church. If we truly want to impact our world with the gospel, it is important that we take a fresh look at this book of the Bible that describes the birth of the church and the way it turned the world upside down. As the followers of Jesus, we have a living hope, and the book of Acts shows us how the church is entrusted with the stewardship of that hope among the nations. The book of Acts really is a continuing story, one in which we read about the birth of the church and the start of a movement that Jesus began and is continuing through the present day.
