Daniel 10 is a passage that will help us understand that life is hard for believers, it will explain why it is hard, but it will also remind us that we are not alone in our struggles. If we truly understand this passage, it will keep us from facing life unprepared. It is part of the fourth and final prophetic vision that is found in the book, spanning from chapter 10 all the way to the end of chapter 12. Daniel is told here at the outset that it is a vision that concerns a great future conflict. And this tenth chapter is vital because it prepares us to see the spiritual dimension behind conflict itself. In this way, Daniel 10 shows us how the conflict we experience in life as believers is often the counterpart of a greater spiritual conflict that is raging in an unseen realm between conflicting kingdoms.
